Description
The mirror is one of the fundamental elements of optical systems: depending on the coating it reflects specific bands — UV, visible, near-IR or IR. Planar mirrors are coated on flat substrates for high-quality reflection across UV, visible and IR bands; metallic film mirrors give the widest spectral coverage with high reflectivity, while broadband dielectric mirrors work over narrower bands but average above 99% reflectivity in their band. Applications: optical imaging, illumination, life sciences, biomedical, semiconductor, metrology, machine vision and photovoltaics.
