Description
The LP620 longpass filter transmits visible and infrared light at 620 nm and above while blocking shorter wavelengths. It plays an important role in spectroscopy, fluorescence detection and Raman measurement: in fluorescence spectrometers it blocks excitation light and passes only the fluorescence signal, improving measurement accuracy; in Raman analysis it suppresses Rayleigh scattering to raise the signal-to-noise ratio. It is also used in biochemical analysis (protein and nucleic acid assays), infrared imaging and semiconductor material characterization.
