Description
The IR-CUT 720 filter is a shortpass filter for IR-CUT switchers: optical thin-film interference transmits visible light while effectively isolating wavelengths above 720 nm. Together with a full-spectrum filter it forms the filter set inside an IR-CUT assembly — by day the IR cut-off filter is switched in so images stay sharp and true to color. Visible transmission averages above 96% across 400–700 nm, near-IR blocking is deep, surface quality options 20-10/40-20/60-40/80-50, and sizes/thicknesses are flexible with stock items at low prices. It is especially useful for day/night security cameras: by passing 650–720 nm deep-red light it improves low-light color imaging at dusk and delays switching to pure black-white night mode, and it preserves deep-red information such as markings, flames and biometric features.
