Description
The LP490 longpass filter is an optical element for beauty devices: it transmits light longer than 490 nm and blocks wavelengths at or below 490 nm, and is typically used for hair removal. In biofluorescence imaging it filters out short-wave excitation light and passes only fluorescence emission, letting researchers clearly observe fluorescence-labelled biomolecules; in microscopes and spectrometers it precisely selects the required wavelength range. It is also used in laser technology and photonic beauty instruments for optimized beam control.
