Description
The gold-coated rear-surface mirror deposits a gold film on the outer surface in an external-reflection structure, generally on an optical glass or other transparent substrate, optionally with a protective layer (e.g. silica) over the gold to prevent scratching or oxidation. Gold's film strength and stability keep reflection performance stable over the long term.
