Description
The LP780 longpass filter transmits infrared light beyond 780 nm while blocking visible light below, and is mainly used to separate the infrared and visible spectral regions. In fluorescence spectrometers it blocks excitation light and passes only fluorescence; in thermal imaging it blocks ambient radiation so only target IR radiation is measured. Handle with care: avoid touching the coated surface; clean gently with a dust-free cloth and alcohol if needed.
