Description
The LP820 longpass IR filter transmits near-infrared light above 820 nm and blocks visible and shorter IR wavelengths. It combines steep cut-on (better wavelength selection), high transmission (lower light loss) and high background optical density (lower noise, better SNR). The cut-on wavelength shifts with the angle of incidence, which can be used for fine spectral adjustment. Applications include laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation, and police multi-band detection instruments.
